Quitting a show is now a feature
Last week TrackShows learned to notice the shows you had quietly drifted away from and ask whether to keep or stop them. Within days, a user pointed out the obvious next step: sometimes you do not need eight weeks and a nudge. You watched three episodes, you know it is not for you, and you want to say so now.
So now you can.
Stop watching, from the show page
Every show you follow has a small Stop watching link on its page. Tap it and the show leaves On Next immediately and files itself in your Library under Stopped watching, with every watched episode and date kept exactly as it was.
That last part is the point. Unfollowing has always been there, but it makes a show vanish from view entirely. Stopping keeps it on the shelf: visible in your Library, one tap from resuming, and if you simply start watching again, marking any episode watched brings it straight back on its own. Quitting a show stops being a decision about your history and becomes what it should be, a note about right now.
The eight week nudge still works exactly as before for the shows you drift away from without noticing. This is just the fast lane for the ones you quit on purpose.
Most commented, all of it
One more change on What’s On. The Most commented rail used to rank only the last seven days of comments, which on a young app meant it was usually empty and hid itself. It now ranks the shows and movies people have talked about across all of TrackShows, so there is always something in it. As comment volume grows we will bring back a recency window; for now, all-time is simply more useful.
The stop button went from user suggestion to shipped in under a week. If there is something you want, suggest it in the app, and the full history of what has shipped is on the changelog.
