Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3: release date and what is confirmed

Percy Jackson is back before Christmas this time. Disney+ has confirmed the date for season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and it lands a few weeks earlier than either of the first two seasons did. Here is what has actually been confirmed, and what has not been announced yet.
When does Percy Jackson season 3 come out?
Season 3 premieres on Friday 20 November 2026 on Disney+. The date was repeated at D23 on 15 August 2026, when the first teaser trailer debuted, and it is stated in Disney’s own press release, so the date itself is settled.
That is a shift in both timing and day. Season 1 arrived in December 2023 and season 2 on Wednesday 10 December 2025. Season 3 moves forward by about three weeks and, going by the announced date, onto a Friday.
What is confirmed, and what is not
Confirmed by Disney:
- The premiere date of 20 November 2026 on Disney+
- That season 3 adapts The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s series, the first time that book has been brought to screen
- Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart and Levi Chrisopulos star
- Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg created the series, and Steinberg, Dan Shotz and Craig Silverstein are among the executive producers
Not yet announced:
- The episode count
- Whether it opens with more than one episode, and the weekly schedule
For what precedent is worth, season 2 ran to eight episodes, opened with two on 10 December 2025 and then released one a week until 14 January. Disney has not said season 3 will follow the same pattern, so treat that as a guide rather than a schedule until it does.
What happens in season 3
The Titan’s Curse picks up with Annabeth gone. Disney’s synopsis has her captured by the forces of Kronos, and Percy setting out to rescue her with Grover and some unlikely new questmates, while trying to free a goddess in chains and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus.
Hanging over all of it is the Great Prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi: one demigod child of the Big Three will either raise Olympus to new heights or bring it down, with their own life at stake. Disney describes the season as darker and riskier than the first two, and the teaser leans on Artemis and her Hunters, who are central to the book.

Where to watch it in the UK
Disney+, exclusively. Seasons 1 and 2 are both already on the service, so a catch up before 20 November is a single subscription job. Disney+ runs on phones, tablets, smart TVs, streaming sticks, consoles and in a browser.
Disney has only given the date, not a release time. Check the app on the morning of the 20th rather than waiting up for it.
How not to miss an episode
Until Disney publishes the schedule, the only certain date is the first one, and an unconfirmed pattern is exactly the kind that catches people out. If season 3 changes day or drops episodes in pairs, you will not want to find out from a spoiler.
